"The attached amendments to the Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, General Rules of Practice for the District Courts, Rules of Civil Procedure, and Rules of the Supreme Court for Registration of Attorneys be, and the same hereby are, prescribed and promulgated to be effective July 1, 2005, except:
as provided in Rule 8, subd. 2(f), of the attached Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, regarding remote access; and
Rules 11, 361.02, 361.05, 370.04, 371.04, and 372.04 of the attached General Rules of Practice for the District Courts regarding restricted identifiers and financial source documents shall apply to pleadings and other documents submitted to, or judgments, orders, decisions, and notices issued, by, the court on or after July 1, 2005.
"These rules govern access to the records of all courts and court administrators of the judicial branch of the state of Minnesota. They do not govern access to records of the Tax Court or the Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals, which are part of the executive branch of the state. In addition, these rules do not govern access to records of the various Boards or Commissions of the Supreme Court as they are governed by independent rules promulgated or approved by the Supreme Court."
These rule sets are published rule by rule and also include an index, making them more usable than those published on the Minnesota Judicial Branch website.
