Information Release, October 12, 2005:
LawMoose At Five
LawMoose, www.lawmoose.com, published by Pritchard Law Webs, Minneapolis, celebrates five years on the Web serving Minnesotans with information about law, government, and the Minnesota legal community.
LawMoose has moved from a pure legal search engine to a topically organized online knowledge management application that makes it easy to find legal resources scattered across thousands of legal, governmental, and association web sites.
"We all need good maps," said publisher LaVern Pritchard. "LawMoose has a rapidly growing conceptual reference map of the legal Web, the only one of its kind that puts Minnesota at the center."
LawMoose's Minnesota edition comes in versions, one a free public law portal for Minnesotans, the other, a much more expansive version for law firms and businesses.
Currently there are over 28,000 mapping points in the subcriber-level LawMoose Minnesota Law Practice Knowledge Web, more than twice the number at the end of 2004.
LawMoose is listed as a resource for Minnesota law on the Minnesota NorthStar state portal, is recommended in the Guide to Starting a Business
in Minnesota, has an ongoing collaboration with the Minnesota State Law Library, and is regularly recommended to lawyers, law students, and the general public as an excellent and unbiased source of information about law
and the Minnesota legal community.
